Our first trip to BKK together... boarding plane soon!
after 2 hrs of flight. we have finally reached our destination.

"aiyo sharon.. stop taking photos... come and help me with the bags laa"
ladies and gentl;emen, listen here! the big luagage that zh is carrying weighs 9kg!!
excuse me, who on earth will bring such a big luagage to BKK

when each of us has a pathetic 15kg baggage limit (._.)""""

it took 40 mins for us to reach first hotel.

first hotel is a 3 star hotel. The reason why we chose first hotel as
it is cheap and the location is good. SGD 140 per person for 3 nights.

accessible to trains and shopping centres like platunam.
I must admit that during the first night i darent bathe alone..

but i act as though nothing happen. lalalala
it all started with zh who commented that the toilet is old!!!

our first stop was central world - COCA steamboat.
and followed by my favourite ice screammm!
it is rather expensive.. SGD 8 one scoop with your choice of toppings
one thing for sure is that it taste delicious

oh well, my photographer didnt tell me to pose properly...
I have spent SGD 200 my during the first day of the trip.
Things i bought: Comestics at changi airport, food and Naraya acessories.

We set off to to the big central mall after shopping at naraya.
It was recommended by a passer-by when we stopped him for some directions.

We were rather disappointed when we have reached big central mall. It was just merely isetan alike shopping mall. We were told that the goods there are like 300 baht price range. Liarsss. Anyways, on our way home, we found a massage palour.
And we went for 2 hours of thai massage for about SGD 25-SGD30

I always thought that massage was supposed to be relaxing and comfortable... tidak tidak tidak!
It was indeed a very a "nice" experience. I felt that i was being pinched all over the body... kept laughing non stop as i do not know how to react... well, thai massage is just practically a few yoga stunts and some pinches on your body...perhaps i should try oil massage next time..

it is a warning sign for zh not to fart in the cab... BLURP!

unforgetable night at BKK...
zh was trying to plug in the adaptor and the next moment black out and sparkles...
we nearly got killed by electric shock.. thank god! oh me tou four
fortune teller once say that zh and ren cannot be together.. haha..
i want to complain... zh is a killer.. i nearly got drown in the sentosa because of her.. and i nearly got electric shock because of her again...
have a good look at the plug and the adaptor.. they are all black!

after all the scare at night, susprisingly, we woke up pretty early the next morning...
we went for our breakfast and headed off for shopping at platunam - a shopping paradise!

"black crayon coffee" for some coffee to perk oursleves...
i must say that it is very shiok shopping at platunam... and the most enjoyable part was bargaining with C.A.Q

we had dinner at chinatown..
shark fins, fried mee hoon, fried rice and bird nests..
TASTY!! we are coming back for more tomorrow night...

we are suppose to go to cha chu chak!

As usual, it was very hot.. kept perspiring although we were wearing dresses..
we didnt shop much as we were quite broke... and our zh cannto stand the heat... ha!
The t-shirts sold there are very very cheap.. SGD6 per piece..

our last night at BKK...
i bought a magic bag with trolley at platunam as my luaague is too small...
i didnt expect myself to buy so much
we woke up very late the next morning as we dont have much shopping to do...

are you an optimistic or persimitic person? there is seems to have alot of bad things happening around me... all are related to life and death....the mama shop uncle whom i always smile with died of stroke.. my neighbour met with an accident and has passed away...my friend's dad died of heart attack.. my friend's dog died in an accident... sometimes i wonder why do i always remenber those sad news... what about those happy moments?
there is a saying that we should live as if there is no tomorrow... can we? i am not very sure if i can do it...i feel it is very hard to live as though there is no tomorrow.. because we know that there is always a tomorrow... ha! as for me, as i am single...i do not have much dating hence i will normally head home straight after long hours of working... i feel i spend more time with my family as compared to my friends... one of the main reason is that i love my family ha! they are my priority now because i feel they are the ones whom will not betray or lie to me... i cannot imagine how can i live without them... i remenbered that my mum visited this fortune teller when i was a child... the fortune teller did a "forcasting" for all of us... and the fortune teller predicted that when we will die..etc. this bothers me alot.. i keep reminding myself that i should treat my parents well as time is running out... as nobody can predicts when is your turn..
there was once my mum fell asleep on the sofa and i thought she wasnt breathing anymore.. (touch wood) i do not know why am i behaving this way.. so weird.. am i abnormal? :P

just got my pc repaired.. it is free of charge... ha all thanks to weijie!
i met up with my buddy zh on saturday... it has been quite a long time since we meet up for blading... when we have reached ecp it was drizzling hence we end up catching a movie in stead...
guess what?! we watched BRATZ... yucks! i nearly fell asleep during the movie... even though the movie sucks big time... but it reminded me something important in life... that is friendship..
i realised after we have graduated from school be it sec or poly.. we will still spend some effort to meet up with each other in the beginning... as time went by... we tend to meet up less often... or only meet up like maybe during whoever birthday celebrations... it got worst when each of us started working... we rarely have the time to meet up... most of us has our own group of friends and activities.. and the size of our gatherings have begun to shrunk too... is this a norm? ha i am not very sure myself.. but one thing for sure is that we are drifting apart... it is kind of sad ya?
i begin to feel that we are drifting apart...because we dont talk to each other often anymore... sometimes we cant even find a common topic... sometimes even argue because of little things.. unlike in the past... we used to share secrets... now everything is so different..
i remenbered once when i went shopping with my friend and her bf... my friend left me out without knowing it...because she is happily chit chatting with her bf all the time... i should have know that this would have happened.. but i always have the mentally that my friend wouldnt do this to me... in the past, she would not leave me out even if she is with her bf... things are different now... well, i hope she didnt do it on purpose... well well, from that day onwards, i told myself i wont ever go out with couples again... i dont want history to repeat itself...
anyways, to my friends out there.. if you have the time to watch BRATZ.. i believe you would have the same thoughts as me... :PP

Something bad happen to me on friday night.. that is i tripped again.. i cant seem to walk properly on carpeted floor.. kill me.. it was quite embarassing!! at that point in time i wanted to leave the place quickly but i was held up by a voice behind me... i heard someone saying "hey, you have drop something.." i turn back relunctantly and saw an ang moh lady picking up my shoe ribbon... gosh! she is so "nice"... i felt like digging a hole and hide my face... end up i bought a pair of shoe from "Old Girl" and continue shopping with ah hui...
i must thanks ah hui for acompanying me shopping... i nearly bored to death on that day.. smuacks!
Nothing much happen on saturday... because i did nothing! i stayed at home all day long... gosh!
Nearly gone mad... wanted to go KTV.. my colleagues all not FREE... gosh... i wanted to go ECP blading... my kakees not FREE... gosh... wanted to have dinner with ah lice... gosh she is not FREE... everyone is not FREE... when i am FREE they all not free... when i not free... everyone keep asking me out... GOSH! End up i sang KTV alone at home... and watch Tokyo Juliet...
Haix.. thought of learning guitar... so that i can sing and play guitar at the same time... cool isnt it? haa... i think partly is to make myself occupied especially on saturday... haa... :P

it has been a long time since i blog...
well, i was posted to collyer quay branch to work... well, i still prefer to work in orchard branch as all my fellow collegues kate and francine are there... i must say i have missed them very much... we used to joke, grumble, lunch and play together in orhcard days... whenever i am pissed off by a customer i will turn to kate and grumble... Now, i have no one to turn to... to release my anger... luckily, we do have instant messenger whereby i can chat with kate and francine online... if not i think i would have turned into a "zibi ren"...
hmm, i went blading with my good frens few days back and i must say that i enjoy blading...the cycling path are so much better now... the path are less uneven and the hump is not as steep...
hope to go blading next week again...

I have a bad week... bad things keep happening to me...

on monday morning when i alight from bus 625, i nearly twist my ankle...

on tuesday morning when i walked out of my block, i fell... and landed on the pavement with both my knees... there is a bruise on my left knee now... cant possibly wear shorts nor skirts for weeks... now is recovering but definitely will leave a permanent scar.. sobx!

on thursday, i received a complaint case... i gave the wrong rates to a customer... and it was not fully my fault... sigh!

on friday afternoon, a mad women make me do things for her which is out of my job scope... raised voice at me... point middle finger at me when talking to me... her words are still stuck in my head... "i dont like this you know... you have to do it for me you know... what for i joined premier you know" nearly scolded F word in front of her... really cannot stand her!
And she is the stupidest woman i ever seen... the story goes like this:

after depositing cash at the atm lobby the mad woman wanted a photocopy of the receipt... unfortunately, we were locked out... my access card is not working... we couldnt enter the bank...
FYI, after banking hours 5pm.. our main entrance door will be locked... and in order for us to enter/exit from the locked door we need to scan our access card...
back then, i thought the mad woman will scream at me again... but she didnt... she stood at the automatic door thinking that if the automatic door closes we will be trapped in the atm lobby... the red dot is the mad woman standing position... the most funny part is that she was hit by the automatic door... ha!

Something to share:

it is always greener at other pasture... hence instead thinking that other pasture is greener... farm your pasture and make it greener than others...

Time flies, i have been working in" " for about 2 months.... getting sick of the job already haiz! Do you work for the sake of $$? I admit i am one of them... no job no money, no money you cant survive... sad right? how i wish i am in the dinosaur era ha! carefree liftstyle... and kena chased by dinosaurs everyday... ha
Almost 90% of my team mates are ex citi... amazing right? everywhere i go i see familiar faces...
it is a small world afterall... the working culture is very different from where i used to work... i must say the system SUCKS big time! I misses shitty at times... sniffsniff!
Not given much product training... and got to learn to swim alone in the deep blue sea... it is frustrating when you got to plead someone for help... especially the someone is unwillingly to help you... i hate people telling me " i thought i have taught you before?" Yes, i agree it is not forgiving if you have been taught the same thing for more than 2 times... i hate people telling me " i thought i have taught you before?" especially when i dont have any hands on before... argh.. dont wish to mention who... i need a VOODOO DOLL...
CNY is just around the corner... hope everything will be fine when new year comes... :)

Last saturday, i attended JJ's concert. heehee...
Too bad i dint bring along my digicam cause i got a strong feeling they might spot check.
And indeed, when i went there they checked our bags. Heng!
We waited about 45mins before the concert get started... as we wait we can see people walking into the stadium and slowly the whole indoor stadium are filled up. the news say 100% occupancy rate and it is TRUE!
We sat quite near the stage...maybe like 150m or 200m away from the stage?
It was a three face stage and there is limited spaces for JJ and his dancers to move around.
Abit disappointed though. There isnt much decorations, i would say the stage display is quite plain. Well, this is not important, our main motive is to see and hear JJ sing lolx!
JJ's vocal is damn good!!! I must say he is quite handsome and TALENTED!!
The special appearance for his concert were Jin Sha & AH do!!!
this is what as i expected... lolx! Jin sha appear first and followed by AH do!!
her vocal is not as good as i thought... when it's AH DO turn to sing so that JJ can change..
ah do kept talking non-stop after each song... i am so scared he will say the wrong things.. lolx
but in the end i should say he did very well...
The concert lasted about 2hrs plus. And during the last song, JJ cried! he squatted in the middle of the stage for quite long time... Cant really see the tears though cause his eyes are very small... haha.. mei li mao! Perhaps this is just a part of the performance? opps...
No lah.. he really cried in the concert... can hear his vocal sounded like abit different.. and guess what his daddy cried too! how i know? cause got TV in the stadium...these are for those who bought the cheaper ticket... Initally i thought the man with white hair was his grandfather.. but when the cameraman did a close up... ha
I have no regrets spending $110.. hee!

it touches my heart after watching the show at channel U. it reminds me of myself in my younger days... if i did not remenber wrongly i was 9 years old then. my grandpa stay just a few blocks away from us. as my mother was worried that i would be alone at home, so she asked my grandpa to babysit me. everyday after school without fail, my grandpa would wait for me at the void deck. he would cook lunch for me and prepare water for me to bathe (those days not everyone owes a heater).
i am just like the little kid in the show, stubborn and self fish. there was once incident which i refused to go back home with my grandfather. i insisted to go back to my home. i argued with him and in the end he gave in to me. he escorted me home and stayed at my home with me til my sister came home. thinking back to those days, i was insensible. (shake head)
i miss my grandpa..

well, i have been transfered to great world city branch to werk 2 weeks ago... i was given very short notice and not much choice... i have heard alot of negative things about werkin in GWC... and indeed it is true.
i can still recall the incident that occured to me during the very first day of werk... i was trying to explain to this particular banker named stara (not the real name) that i am unable to put through her deal due to unforeseen circumstances... guess what.. she replied me in a very sarcatic manner " i have not much time left... i dont understand what you are talking about, please speak in engrish!" i felt humilated...before that i have heard rumours about this banker and i didnt expect that she is such a xhole! :X
well, the werkin environment is so much different as compared to JE branch.... everyone in GWC seems so stranger to me, no smile... no morning greetings...the place is so cold and quiet... unlike in JE branch, the place is full of joy and laughter.. even the boss is so "cool"
time flies, i have been werkin in gwc for nearly 2 wks... things are getting much better now...
though there are still a few bankers that i dislike... well, nothing in this world is perfect.. have to adapt to the environment...

we were at the departure hall gate D35 waiting to board jetstar...
something embarassing occured to me.. i was detected to have somethings that i am not suppose to bring along... i was quite shocked... the officer pull me aside and requested me to raise my hands high up and she started to search my body... as if i am a criminal!! later it was found out that it was the hairpin in my pocket that triggers the detector... argh!
morale of the story: dont keep anything that is metal in your pocket when boarding plane...

i was amazed when i was told this is the jetstar airplane..
it is just half the size of a normal airplane... it can only take up to 180 passengers... and it really looked just like a toy plane i used to play with... it looked so cute!
the seats and walkway are quite crammed and narrow... i dont think an ang moh can fit into it... when u are in your seat, the seat that is front of u is only one arm length away from you... can you imgaine how crammed it is... oh yah, i manage to get a glimpse of the cockpit... it is miserable small... the space was jus enough for the 2 pilots...
some poniters to take note when u are taking jetstar airline:
1) bring a jacket along, it is cold in there...
2) bring some tibits, cards or mp3 on board... to kill time
3) rem to check in early, orelse ur luagge space in the airplane would have been taken by others... especially when you are leaving taipei for singapore... bear this in mind!

as we exit from the taipei airport we took "fei gou" aka flying dog bus to our hotel...it was a long journey.. it took us 1hr to reach our hotel.. a ticket cost 135 taibi per person for one way trip and it is worth the price... the seats are very comfortable and clean...

i also realise taiwan foodcoourt serve more jap and korean style of beef, pork, chicken and seafood... you rarely see fish meat there... the one in the picture cost me 128 taibi.. it is a jap scrambled egg rice with cripsy chicken.

we went to sogo shopping mall foodcourt to have our lunch... the price of the food is more expensive compared to ours... this bowl of noodle cost est 138 taibi convert into S$ 6.50... but it is delicious... i must say most taiwan foodcourt serve more soupy stuff and they are all very tasty...

on the 2nd day, it was a sunny day... the weather was damn good. hence we decided to go to "danshui". we travel to "danshui" station and and took a bus 26 to the "danshui" boat quay.

we took this boat to "danshuilao jie". i told this is the place whereby taiwanese bring their kids / lovers / family for picnic or cycling... it is the so called their east coast park. BUT our ECP is nicer... the park dont look like one.. the park is quite untidy...

the place that we jus visited is "danshui de yu ren ma tou" aka fisherman boat quay. now we going to take a boat ride to the "danshui lao jie" aka old street. This is the place where we can find interesting things...

look at the ice cream i am holding onto... this is considered the smallest size.... the longest one is double the size of this... can you imgaine what will you become after eating it? oh yah, it cost est 20 taibi = S$1... cheap lei?!
another food that you must try in "danshui lao jie" is the fried mushroom.. the mushroom is called "jing zhen chu" i din take a pic of it but it is the thin and long white colour mushroom with a tiny umbrella head. it taste very good, you may find it in shinlin night market but danshui's ones is still the best!! besides, ice cream and mushroom you may find alot of homestyle food like "tie dan" aka chewy egg. you can find stuff like their home made prawn crackers and nogurts...

this palce was built in memory of those soldiers who sacrifice for taiwan in world war 2. inside this orange buidling lies thosands of altar. there are three types: high rank officer would have their individual altar, as for middle rank soldiers, every 10 would share one; and lastly as for low rank soldiers, every 10000 soldiers will share one. we were told not to take any pics as a form of respect to the soldiers.

next we went to "da zhong zhi zhen", he is none other than li kar hsin. he is one of the well known rebellion in the early days. The place was built to memorial for his bravery. He is the first person who sacrifice for taiwan. The pic you see is the entrance to his palace.

You must try this ultra big crispy chicken in "shinlin". It is very different from the one you eat from far east. This one is much more bigger and it is not as spicy as the one you see in far east. And it is much more tasty and cheaper.

"shinlin" is not only well known for their food, they have bugis village alike stalls. You can find the lastest fashion jackets, pointed shoes, belts, hats and cute t-shirts at a very relatively cheap price.

this is the famous ay-chung flour rice noodle shop aka "ah zhong mian xian". no tables no chairs. all eat while standing and dispose their bowls in a specific pail. my sis and mum favourites..it is similar to the far east ones.

i have been searching for a new skin for my bog and finally i settle down with this one!

it took me whole day to figure out how to change this and that.. and i am still figuring out how to change the font colour.. if anyone knows how to do it please help mee!

tomolo is mother's day and we had celebrated in advance last nite with my grandma and relatives... we went to our favourite restaurant in tiong bahru..
one thing that i can say is i ate alot alot last nite... fried butter prawns, chilli crabs, abalone, shark fins, chicken, fish...hia hia hia all are my favourite food! yesterday was sort of a mini gathering with my realatives.. as we were chatting happily, one of my aunite commented i have gained weight.. she said i looked FATTER!!! my heart sank after hearing that...BUT it did not affect my appetite... hia hia hia!! i continue eating all the yummy food.. i will start my fitness training once i come back from my vacation... GO GO GO!

recently i found out i killed a lizard... the lizard was smashed into pieces... gross!
i came home late that night, when i was opening the door, i saw the irritating lizard crawling on the door... i quickly open the door and slammed the door... few days later, my sister told me there was a lizard got STUCK onto the side of the door... it was that lizard i met that nite...! yeeeeeee... so what happen was the lizard saw me, got frightened, and tries to escape through the side of the door.. BUT he is too wols, i slammed the door before he manage to escape...
gosh! thinking back.. the dead lizard looks gross!

i went to the estee sale today... we reached quite early and we are the first ten in the queue... the weather was hot... it was an eye opener for me... i realise spore gals are filthy rich... everyone goes in with small bags and comes out with big bags... when it is time for us to go in... everyone was so excited and started to scream haha... everyone rushed into the room as if they know what they are going to sell... i felt quite lost intially cos i dunnoe where to start... some of the brand like PX i dont even know the brand exist... i am like a frog in the well haha... after several rounds of walking and browsing.. i decided to buy clinque products... deep cleasin mask, powder and some skin care pdts...
after that i went up to the estee counter to look for pauline as my cousin reserved a few products for my mum that i need to pick it up from her... at first she ignored me... then she is very unfriendly towards to me... i was quited pissed off by her attitude and i just grabbed my things and walked off.. without saying any thank you... hia hia hia!
i realise merelly all the staffs got attidude problems... i saw a lady holding to an empty and at the same on the phone talking to her fren what she wants to buy... the staff shouted to her "hey, just take all lar... " in a very sarcartic way... the most funny part is that the lady din even bother to response to her...
sometimes i wonder... are the items that are on sale good? why are the items on sale? is it bcos the products are going to expire soon and they have to clear stocks? or is it that they are not sellable products and they have to resort to clear their stocks by selling them at a very cheap price.... if this is so, why are we still buying them? singaporeans have the tendancy to buy cheap things that they dont need it all... they buy cos it is cheap... and sometimes i admit i do fall into their trap.. heehee!
